Throughout my life, I've learned that creativity and anxiety are merely two sides of the same coin. Why would I claim that the positive idea of creativity is so similar to the generally negative anxiety? Creativity and anxiety are both routed in some form of fact. The creative process can vary from person to person.

The reason procrastination is so common among college students is due to the increase in task efficiency when faced with a tight deadline. Anxiety can be a very efficient tool, but it can also be a very dangerous weapon.
Christopher Parker said, "Procrastination is like a credit card, it's a lot of fun until you get the bill." I love this quote because it helped me realize two things from my creative process.
I realized that if I'm trying to get my most consistent work, my safest bet is to do the project as soon as I get it. If I want my 100% best work, I need to take the gamble with procrastination.

Overall I can't afford the risk to gamble everything with my school work, but one or two projects can be improved due to my anxiety about needing to make a deadline.
In researching my blog post this week. I found a link to a fellow blog that more eloquently describes what I'm trying to say.

Loved the quote and overall take on the subject. Great insights! Mr. V
I never really thought about anxiety and creativity being similar or tied. I can see how that would be the case with my own experiences. I definitely understand how some of my best writing essays have came after procrastinating the assignment for a week.
