Kanan Jarrus is my favorite character in all of Star Wars. For those of you reading this that haven't seen the show Star Wars Rebels. Kanan Jarrus is a Jedi who fought the Galactic Empire for most of his life.

Before the Jedi Purge, one of the main teachings of the Jedi Order was that attachments are forbidden. The Jedi believed that attachment led to fear of loss. Fear would lead to anger, hate, and ultimately the dark side.
After the Jedi Order fell, the few surviving Jedi had to learn how to make their path without the guidance of generations of tradition.
Kanan found that he was stronger as a Jedi because of the attachments he formed with his newfound family.
Kanan reluctantly became a master to his apprentice. One of the earliest episodes of Star Wars Rebels focuses on how Kanan felt inadequate to take on a student due to his self-doubt. Throughout the show, most Kanan-centered stories have the theme of acceptance at their core.
Kanan takes the famous Star Wars quote "Do or do not, there is no try" and expands on it. Kanan says "If all I ever do is try, that means I don't truly believe I can succeed."
Kanan Jarrus is my favorite Jedi because of how he handles challenges. When Kanan is blinded, he has a few months where he is stuck in self-pity. But he learned to get back up because the rest of his crew needed him back.

I love Star Wars! I'm not a scholar of Star Wars but I do love it. I enjoyed the things you learned from Kanan. Who was his apprentice?
