Life is constantly moving. There are only two things that are guaranteed, according to Benjamin Franklin "...In this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes." How are we as people supposed to find a balance between the two absolutes of taxes and death?

From the moment I went into grade school, everyone was asking me what I wanted to do when I grew up. Now that I am in college. I have even less of a clue at this point in my life, than I did when I was first asked that question.
At this point in my life, I'm trying to navigate the questions of "Will I enjoy working in field X?" "Does job Y pay enough to buy a house?" and "Will career Z even exist by the time I get out of school?".
The idea that there are only two constants "death and taxes" is a frightening concept in the world. Yet, it's always at the forefront of society's collective conscience. My question is, how do we find the balance between the two certainties?
If I knew the answer I'd be writing a book, not a blog.
In all honesty, I feel that love is the only thing that can truly balance out the two looming threats of death and taxes. Money will always be a source of stress. Death cannot be avoided no matter how hard we try. The only thing that is truly our own choice is who, and how we show love.

"I would rather share one lifetime with you than face all of the ages of the world alone"
-J.R.R Tolkien-

The questions about careers brings me back to high school and researching possible careers to go into only to realize that the career you are interested in may not exist in five years. It's a legitimate question. I would spend time wondering if being an author would be a good idea because of the shrinking market and the fact you don't make much of anything being an author. Then you realize that this is what you want to do. That's when you are willing to go through the difficulty of it all. If anything my biggest fear is being trapped in a career, whether I like it or not. It must get boring doing the same thing for years.
Great post! I've heard it said that Life will always be hard so your choices are between "hard" and Harder" Choose wisely!
