At 11:59 a day is nearly done

At 11:58 Fear of tomorrow sets in

At 11:57 Sleep has been attempted for a half hour.

ree

Midnight falls at 12, A new day has begun.

At 12:01 sleep arrives, noise stops

This sleep begins peacefully

Yet it doesn't stay that way...

The moment replays

The moment that turned a boy into a man.

For hours,

the man is forced into a torturous loop.

The man sees the event that scarred him, from every angle

except his own.

At 7:30 an alarm rung

the man quickly awakens,

sobbing.

Gratitude Post #5- Close Friends

Growing up, I knew I would need friends who I could call at the drop of a hat. I knew that when the day came for my sister to pass on...

I really like your use of time in this poem. It can be a little tricky writing time in both numbers and written forms and making it make sense. You pull it off clearly though.         My favorite parts were the first and last stanzas. I like how you gave every sentence/minute its own feeling and idea.

Hey, Thanks Haylie! I’ve put in a lot of practice in time usage, so I appreciate you recognizing that.
